I haven’t been to an arcade in decades (do they even still exist?). But if I have the chance to play ski-ball or mini-basketball to win a prize, I’ll take it. So it was with excitement that last week I tried a new AI tool that can be used to turn quiz questions into arcade-style online games.
Quizalize is an online tool that I’ve used off and on over most of the last decade. The latest update to it incorporates ChatGPT. With ChatGPT enabled in Quizalize you can enter a prompt like “parts of speech quiz questions” and have a set of self-grading quiz questions generated in a minute. The best part is that with just a click of one more button, that set of questions can be turned into a fun arcade-style game for your students to play independently or in teams.
