Momentum Completes G12 Communications Acquisition

Momentum has completed its acquisition of G12 Communications, strengthening its growth and position within the collaboration market.

G12 Communications is a Seattle area-based provider of voice-enabled and Operator Connect Microsoft Teams solutions, which will now be absorbed into Momentum’s portfolio of cloud voice, global connectivity, and managed network solutions that include SD-WAN.

According to Momentum, incorporating G12’s services, which involves integrating its prominent executives, enables it to offer an “unparalleled suite of services to customers”.

The acquisition was agreed in October this year, at which time Todd Zittrouer, CEO of Momentum, said: “We are excited to welcome G12 Communications into the Momentum family.

“This acquisition aligns perfectly with our vision of enabling businesses to thrive by communicating and collaborating more effectively.

“Microsoft Teams has become a vital tool for the modern workplace, and by enhancing our capabilities with the expertise of the G12 team, we are helping our customers optimise their hybrid work environments.”

Upon completion, Zittrouer added:

“This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone for Momentum. By joining forces with G12, we are poised to deliver premier voice-enabled collaboration solutions that empower organisations and the modern workforce to thrive in an increasingly digital and collaborative world.”

Building Momentum

Momentum offers advanced solutions to help companies modernise their work environments, increase flexibility, improve communications, and stay relevant within the shifting business landscape.

The company is continuing to invest in the latest collaboration technologies, which it says will enhance hybrid work models and give businesses the tools to meet the needs of a modern workforce.

In fact, Momentum also recently acquired Asset Black, a managed cloud services provider, which Momentum expects will expand the reach of its managed network offering.

G12’s Services

One of G12’s most valuable offerings is its Microsoft Operator Connect voice solution, which it launched in August 2022. This added to G12’s Connect to Teams Portfolio, which consisted of Connect to Teams IP PBX, Direct Routing, and Cloud PBX  Integration.

Operator Connect lets businesses select their own voice-calling operators using the Teams Admin Centre. As an Operator Connect partner, G12 can utilise direct peering with Microsoft’s data centres alongside its own infrastructure to provide greater connectivity and integration.

G12 can now manage customers’ voice calling services, as well as provide shared service level agreements and technical support.

Using G12 Operator Connect represented a simpler and cheaper alternative for those customers wishing to switch from managing their direct routing or PBX systems to Microsoft Teams.

The company offers a comprehensive range of voice, collaboration, and connectivity solutions, however, from a fully customised UCaaS solution to SIP Trunking, CCaaS, and cloud PBX deployments.

G12 says on its website that it has achieved “99 percent customer satisfaction” and is “trusted by 2500+ businesses”, including Heritage Bank, Kitsap Credit Union, Astria Health, Cellnetix, Evergreen Health, and more.

Rick Garcia, Co-Founder and CRO of G12 Communications, commented on the partnership: “We are thrilled to combine teams and expertise with Momentum and continue our commitment to pushing the boundaries of innovation in the world of voice-enabled Microsoft Teams and collaboration.

“This alliance empowers us to redefine the digital workplace experience, offering our clients unparalleled solutions as they navigate today’s dynamic business environment.”

Garcia will join the Momentum team as EVP of Modern Workplace and UC.
