Medical device packaging machinery company shawpak has announced the launch of its newly developed LT range, a line of linear thermoforming machines engineered to deliver precision, flexibility and performance for medical device packaging according to the company.
Designed, manufactured and built in the company’s UK engineering facility, Shawpak says the LT Series combines advanced automation, modular integration and cleanroom compliance to meet demanding packaging requirements.

The shawpak LT Range has been purpose built for medical applications, capable of producing larger packs, rigid packs with snap features and complex packs with multiple component.
It also includes precision control systems with Rockwell Allen-Bradley Compact GuardLogix PLC and Kinetix servo drives. Temperature-controlled forming tools and plug assist for optimal forming accuracy and optional robotic integration for seamless automation.s.
Each machine in the LT range, from the LT22-18 to the LT56-52, supports varying forming widths and material depths. The system’s design also allows integration of inline vision inspection, HD digital printing, and secondary packaging automation.
