Three of UK healthcare’s most influential voices will speak at Digital Health Rewired 2026 to provide guidance on how to harness AI safely, ethically and effectively.
Professor Alastair Denniston, professor of regulatory science and innovation and honorary consultant ophthalmologist at the University of Birmingham and University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, will join the AI stage.
As the new chair of the UK National Commission on the Regulation of AI in Healthcare, Denniston will oversee a new regulatory framework for safe AI adoption and tackle how to integrate technologies, such as ambient voice technologies (AVT) and AI for radiology, pathology and remote monitoring, into frontline care.
Dr Jessica Morley, postdoctoral research associate in the Digital Ethics Centre at Yale University, will return to Rewired after a hugely popular appearance in 2025.
The former government advisor turned academic is on a mission to ensure healthcare systems capitalise on the opportunities for better use of data, whilst mitigating ethical harms. In her session she will bring her latest thinking and advice for NHS organisations.
Dr Joe Zhang, head of data science at London AI Centre and Secure Data Environment will also return to the Rewired stage.
Zhang currently leads the implementation of data and AI technologies across the OneLondon ecosystem. With prior experience across the NHS, academia and life sciences, he knows what it takes to move from pilot to practice and how to make AI work in complex NHS settings.
Digital Health Rewired 2026 is the UK’s leading digital health conference, uniting NHS leaders, innovators, researchers and startups to explore how digital technologies drive productivity, equity, and better outcomes.
Attendees can now take a first look at the stages, inspiring sessions, and early keynotes shaping the Rewired 2026 programme on the agenda-at-a-glance.
There will be 10 stages dedicated to discussions and panel debates inspired by the three shifts of the 10 year health plan, with areas dedicated to Digital Transformation, Integrated Care, Digital Leadership, Data and Digital, Digital Frontline, Cyber and Infrastructure, Best Practice, and EPR Implementation and Optimisation.
The co-headline sponsors for Rewired26 are The Access Group and Optum, who also sponsor the Integrated Care and Digital Transformation stages respectively.
Last month it was revealed that NHS chief information officers Kate Warriner, Beverley Bryant, Paul Jones, and William Monaghan will be keynote speakers at the conference.
The expanding speaker line-up also includes NHS England speakers Minal Bakhai, director of primary care transformation, Alec Price-Forbes, national CCIO, and Helen Balsdon, national CNIO.
The event takes place on 24-25 March 2026 at the NEC Birmingham. Book your place now to attend. Free for NHS, public sector, charities, research, and education. Commercial tickets start from £769+VAT.
