After Apple TV’s latest price hike, I’m even more convinced that an Apple One subscription is the superior choice

It’s no secret that nowadays, subscribing to more than a couple of the best streaming services in Australia will rack up a bill that can stretch into hundreds of dollars each month. The situation certainly hasn’t improved with the fact that virtually all of the major streamers apply regular price increases – Netflix, for example, increased its plan prices for the sixth time in August, the sixth time in 10 years – and a top-end Premium subscription will now set you back a staggering AU$28.99 a month.

To its credit, Apple held off increasing the cost of Apple TV Plus (soon to be known as just ‘Apple TV’) for longer than most other providers. And while it has since increased prices a couple of times, it’s still remained comparatively affordable. That value has arguably tipped over into ‘average’ with its latest hike, however, which landed in August – bumping the cost from AU$12.99 to AU$15.99 a month.
