Celebrating Michigan Deployments Alongside Booz Allen Hamilton
Healthcare IT Leaders is proud to be part of the ground team for the Electronic Health Record (EHR) Michigan locations go-live for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) modernization effort alongside our partner Booz Allen Hamilton, and the teams at Oracle Health and Accenture Federal Services.
Since we joined the effort in September 2025, over 20 Healthcare IT Leaders experts have been working closely with VA medical centers preparing for deployment. Healthcare IT Leaders subject matter experts are on-the-ground to deploy the new EHR in Ann Arbor, Battle Creek, Detroit and Saginaw.
Shannon Ripley, Vice President of Federal for Healthcare IT Leaders said, “HITL is especially proud to support this mission. Our Oracle Health (Cerner) experts bring federal and commercial Electronic Health Record experience to bolster contract support teams and ensure clinical and technical teams are confident and ready to deliver a modernized system. We are committed to support VA in how it delivers high-quality care to #Veterans.”
Senior Vice President of Oracle and Strategic Partnerships, Tyler Griffin added “HITL is looking forward to helping VA meet its accelerated deployment schedule. The success we are seeing in Michigan is a great start.”
The Federal EHR connects VA medical facilities with the Department of War (DOW), the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and participating community care providers, allowing clinicians to easily access a Veteran’s full medical history in one location.
VA is slated to deploy a total of 13 sites in 2026.
