2012 Squash Club Championships
The 2012 Squash Club Championships will start on Monday 27th February. The event will culminate with Finals Day on Saturday 10th March. The finals day format and competition draws will be published on Monday 20th February. Players can sign-up at the notice board in the Club reception. The closing date for entries is Monday 13th February.
Squash Handicap Tournament
Starting on the Monday and having a Grand Final on the Friday there was a big surprise at the end of it.
Underdogs Squash Tournament
One of the popular tournaments for the squash players was held on the 28th - 29th November with two division, A & B events.

All the courts were full for September’s Stage Stirling and a good standard of tennis was evident from all participants in several closely fought matches.

Inverness Open Tennis Tournament
Starting on 7th August we had a record entry of over 130 Tennis fanatics face some rather unpleasant winter weather.
Well Done to Mo and Fraser for organising it all again and to all the Mums who kept us feed through the week and raised a fantastic sum for Junior Tennis Fund.
Lastly, Thank you to all the compeditors who came up to Inverness to make this such a great event. Hope to see you all next Year.

ITSC Players in Clean Sweep
Scottish Squash recently announced there players of the year with Alan Clyne winning the Senior Player of the Year for the second year running and Greg Lobban who won the Junior Player of the Year.
A great achievement by both of them as Alan has moved to his highest World Ranking position of 40 and Greg is about to start his Senior campaign. Well Done guys and have a great 2011/12 season.

Thankfully, the rain stayed away long enough for this, the 3rd round of the Stage Stirling to be completed.
Storming Norman
On the 7th & 8th of June, Iain McGilvray & Norman MacDonald (Cafe1 Owner and active Club member) undertook The Barra 2 Butt Challenge, cycling 260km in 2 days through 9 Islands. Starting in Vatersay, the Southerly Isle of The Outer Hebrides and finishing at The Butt of Lewis, the most northerly tip of The Outer Hebrides.
There aim was to raise what monies they could for The Highland Hospice & Bethesda, The Western Isles Hospice in Stornoway.
Well riding through gale force winds and rain the boy's did it and rasied a whooping £34,390......thats Right over £34,000. Well Done Lads...a Fantastic Effort.

New Management Committee
After a well attended A.G.M. we now have 4 new members on the Committee. John Batchelor was appointed as the New Chair along with Ian Prott (Treasurer), Dave Love (Tennis Captain) and Dave Humpage (Squash Captain). A warm welcome to them all and I am sure there unique skills sets and experience will help the club move forward with an exciting new agender.

ITSC 100 Club
Squash Club Championships 2011
The 2011 Squash Club Championships will start on Monday 28th March. The event, sponsored by Ness Motors, will culminate with a Finals Day on Saturday 2nd April. The finals day format and competition draws will be published on Monday 21st March. Players can sign-up at the notice board above squash court two. The closing date for entries is Monday 14th March.
Scottish Junior National Squash Championships 2011
A host of ITSC juniors competed at the Scottish Junior National Squash Championships held in Aberdeen on the 5/6th February 2011.
In the under 19 event, Greg Lobban came out on top to retain the National title. He beat number one seed Douglas Kempsell (Edinburgh) in the final, winning in three games. Kirsty Lobban also came through the under 15 event to retain the National title. Kirsty proved too strong for the other girls, a three-nil win over Claire Gadsby (Crieff) in the final secured the title for the second year in a row.
Katie Gregson-Macleod fought back after trailing by a game to beat Maddie Orr (Crieff) 3-2. This secured the under 13 title for Katie. Alasdair Prott also secured his first National title as he proved too good for the rest of the under 11 competition. Well done!

Mike awarded Coach of the Month
Every month the North Region of Tennis Scotland acknowledge and commend the work of a Club, Coach, Competition Organiser or Volunteer. Our Club Coach Mike Martin has won the award for January in recognition of his superb outreach work with the local schools. Through this initiative Mike is currently providing Mini Tennis sessions for over 600 school children a week. Well done Mike!
ITSC 100 Club
Join the ITSC 100 Club for only £3 a month 2 prizes of £50 every month to be won. First draw to take place in April. We guarantee that every pound raised will go towards maintaining the tennis and squash courts and the gym. Thanks to Morven and the tennis committee for this great idea.
Sunday Opening Starts on 5th December
As from this Sunday the 5th December, the whole of the club house will be open to members from 11.00 am to 5.00 pm. There will be a member of the Management Committee present as well as a member of staff to help out.
